How are participating Boards supported by the Program to support Observers throughout their Observership year?

The Observership Program supports participating Boards and Observers via a partnership with ADN.

  1. All participating boards are provided with a tool kit of materials and resources to enable them to support PwDs during the interviewing, matching and hosting periods.
  2. A Confidence with Disability training session has been filmed and distributed to all participating boards.
  3. Participating Boards are provided with an Accessibility Checklist for hosting People with Disabilities, which relates to adjustments and other support on offer.
  4. Participating Boards are provided with Guidelines for running Accessible Board Meetings.
  5. Participating Boards have been provided with ADN’s newly published accessibility guide for Board Directors
